Spelling Bee
The Spelling Bee, originating in the U.S. in 1925, helps students improve spelling, expand vocabulary, and use English accurately. HCIS Sokcho hosts an annual contest to enhance elementary students' spelling skills, boost confidence, and develop communication abilities under competition pressure.
스펠링 비는 1925년 미국에서 시작된 대회로, 학생들이 올바른 철자를 배우고 어휘를 확장하며 영어를 정확하게 사용하는 데 도움을 줍니다. HCIS 속초에서는 매년 대회를 열어 초등학생들의 철자 능력을 향상시키고 자신감을 키우며 경쟁 속에서도 의사소통 능력을 개발합니다.
Market Day
Market Day teaches HCIS Sokcho students about social studies and economics through activities like trading, producing, and selling. Funds raised are donated to non-profits supporting children affected by disasters or war, helping students gain practical knowledge while making a positive impact.
마켓 데이는 HCIS 속초 학생들이 거래, 생산, 판매 활동을 통해 사회와 경제를 배우는 날입니다. 모금된 기금은 자연재해나 전쟁 피해 아동을 지원하는 비영리 단체에 기부됩니다.
Carnival
Every year, elementary students at HCIS Sokcho collaborate with their teachers to organize sports and recreation programs and participate in the HCIS Sokcho Community Festival with their KG classmates. This initiative helps enhance leadership skills by hosting events in English. Through planning and organizing these activities, students gain self-confidence, improve their leadership abilities, and connect their education to real-life situations.
매년 HCIS 속초의 초등학생들은 교사와 협력하여 스포츠 및 레크리에이션 프로그램을 조직하고, KG어린이들과 함께 HCIS 속초 커뮤니티 페스티벌에 참여합니다. 이 프로그램은 영어로 이벤트를 주최함으로써 학생들의 리더십 기술을 향상시키는 데 도움을 줍니다. 이러한 활동을 계획하고 조직하는 과정을 통해 학생들은 자신감을 얻고 리더십 능력을 개선하며, 배운 내용을 실제 상황과 연결할 수 있습니다.
Science Fair
The HCIS Sokcho Science Fair is held annually to foster students' interest in science and develop their scientific thinking skills. Each grade is given appropriate tasks to create unique research projects, which they present to the HCIS Sokcho community. This experience enhances their presentation skills and instills a sense of pride.

Spirit Day
HCIS Sokcho hosts a Spirit Day every quarter to foster togetherness and friendship among students. Activities include Pajama Day, Mismatch Day, Crazy Hair Day, and Crazy Hat Day, allowing children to connect and create memories despite their differences.

Canada Trip
Students at HCIS Sokcho who are in grade 3 and above have the opportunity to participate in a 3-week summer camp on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada alongside local Canadian children. The camp offers various activities such as recreation, sports, art, and drama, which provide an immersive English language experience, foster leadership and creativity, and promote friendship with Canadian children.
3학년 이상의 HCIS Sokcho 학생들은 현지 캐나다 어린이들과 함께 캐나다 BC 주 밴쿠버 섬에서 3주간의 여름 캠프에 참가할 수 있는 기회를 갖습니다. 캠프에서는 몰입형 영어 경험을 제공하고 리더십과 창의성을 키우며 캐나다 어린이들과의 우정을 증진하는 레크리에이션, 스포츠, 예술, 드라마 등 다양한 활동을 제공합니다.
